This page is designed primarily to be a repository for SAVES documents for members to refer to. It may also be of interest to other visitors to the site.
In particular SAVES is developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for use by SAVES members. These aim to be evidence based, where possible, and draw heavily on consensus guidelines produced by the pre-hospital authoritative bodies. The standard operating procedures of London's Helicopter Emergency Service and other BASICS schemes have also provided a valuable resource.
Our SOPS are drawn up by the medical committee and developed in consultation with the membership. They are developed for use by our members (where appropriately trained) and in our particular area. They are not designed to be an authoritative reference and SAVES can take no responsibility for their use by other individuals.
